Mildred Stubbs, 73, of Antioch, Calif., died Thursday, March 21, 2002, at Valley Manor in Concord, Calif.

She was born Jan. 25, 1929, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Jim and Rosetta Statler Cato.

Stubbs was a licensed practical nurse 11 years. She had lived in Antioch four years.

Survivors include two sons, James Stubbs Jr. of Newark, Calif., Michael Stubbs of Antioch; two daughters, Cheryl Fletcher of Indianapolis, Ind., Pamela Thorton of Springfield, Ill.; two brothers, David Cato of Willow Springs, Mo., Edgar Mayham of Louisville, Ky.; two sisters, Bonnie Mayham-Bell of St. Charles, Mo., Paula Miller of Springfield, Ill.; 20 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a son and a daughter.

Friends may call at W.W. White Memorial Chapel in Springfield, Ill., at noon Wednesday.

Funeral will be at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
