PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Mildred R. "Millie" Tucker, 87, of Perryville fell asleep in Jesus on Thursday, October 30, 2014, at Independence Care Center in Perryville.

She was born Nov. 4, 1926 in St. Louis to Walther and Olinda Jacobsmeyer Callies.

She and George Tucker were married Sept. 29, 1955, at Little Rock, Arkansas.

She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville. She had been a secretary at General Elevator in St. Louis for 10 years and General American Life Insurance for 10 years. She also worked as a typesetter for 10 years. Millie loved to read and enjoyed pets and all birds, especially cardinals.

Survivors include: her husband, George Tucker of Perryville; two daughters, Elaine (Mike) Blair of Perryville and Gayle Wilson of Mount Sterling, Illinois; grandchildren, Joshua (Anna) Wilson, Nicole (Brian) Wibbenmeyer, Andrew Blair, Justin Wilson and Megan (Jared) Pruden; and two great-grandchildren, Joselyn Pruden and Madelyn Millie Pruden.

She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers.

Friends may call 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at Ford & Sons Mount Auburn Chapel in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Matthew Marks officiating.

Private burial will be at Cape County Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.

Memorial contributions may be given to American Cancer Society, 106 Farrar Drive, Cape Girardeau, MO 63701 or Southeast Hospice, 10 Doctors' Park, Cape Girardeau, MO 63703.
