JACKSON -- Minnie Paar Deck, 96, of Jackson, died Friday, Feb. 5, 1993, at the Incarnate Word Hospital in St. Louis.
She was born April 12, 1896, daughter of William and Doretta Suedekum Daume.
She was first married to Adolph Parr on April 21, 1923. He preceded her in death on Jan. 29, 1973. She then married Harold Deck on June 24, 1979. He preceded her in death June 6, 1984.
Survivors include two daughters, Doris Peggy Baltzer of St. Louis, and Janet Greene, of Vancouver, Wash.; eight grandchildren; three great, great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews;
She was preceded in death by a son, William; five brothers; and two sisters.
She was a member of Emanuel United Church of Christ in Jackson, a member of the Lydia Kies Circle of the church, and was active in Cape Girardeau and Jackson senior citizen centers.
She was employed many years at the International Shoe Factory in Jackson, until retirement in 1961.
Service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Emanuel United Church of Christ in Jackson, with the Rev. Sam Roethemeyer officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.
Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson.
