MEXICO -- Molly E. Neely, 98, of Mexico died Saturday, Aug. 31, 1996, at Pin Oaks Nursing Center in Mexico.
She was born Sept. 27, 1897, in Wellston, Okla., daughter of James B. and Lula Robinett George. She and the Rev. Golden E. Neely were married Dec. 29, 1916, at Poplar Bluff. He died Aug. 19, 1978.
Neely was employed by Adams Dry Goods and Montgomery Ward, both in Mexico. She was a member of the Centennial Baptist Church and had been active in Women's Missionary Union work in the Baptist church and was divisional chairwoman at Moberly and Poplar Bluff for WMU.
Survivors include two sons, James R. Neely of Jefferson City and Golden Neely Jr. of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Louise Dowell of Mexico; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Arnold Funeral Home in Mexico. The Rev. Jerry Ostrom will officiate, with burial to be at East Lawn Memorial Park in Mexico.
