Nolan Dean Weber, 18, passed away Saturday, Dec. 21, 2013. After a valiant battle with brain cancer for almost three years, Nolan died peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, at their home in Jackson.
He was born April 30, 1995, in Cape Girardeau to Dean and Rachelle Yamnitz Weber.
Nolan was an accomplished soccer and baseball player at Jackson High School, and was voted Big Chief of his 2013 graduating class at Jackson High School. In addition to his school sports, he played competitively with the SLSG Soccer Club in St. Louis, and with the U.S. Junior National Para Table Tennis Team. He also was a certified referee for JAOSA and the Jackson Boys Baseball League.
Loving survivors include his parents, Dean and Rachelle, and a brother, Colten, all of Jackson; paternal grandparents, Robert and Sue Weber of Jackson; maternal grandmother, Brenda (the late Rick) Yamnitz of Jackson; maternal great-grandmother, Wilma Yamnitz Crites (Kelly) of Jackson; two uncles, Jason (Shelly) Weber of Jackson and Bryan Yamnitz of Jackson; two aunts, Connie (Russell) Buchheit of Jackson and Rene Rhodes of Jackson; and seven cousins, Tristan, Cheyanne, Lydia, Peyton, Kenlea, Kaylyn and Stevie.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday and from 9:30 a.m. to time of service Tuesday at First Baptist Church in Jackson.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with the Revs. Tommy Weems and Lucas Clabough officiating. Interment will be in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
At a later date, the family will announce a special celebration of life, which also will be at First Baptist Church in Jackson.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to the Nolan Weber Memorial Fund, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or First Baptist Church of Jackson.
