RED BUD, Ill. -- Norine F. Wiegard of Red Bud died Saturday, April 18, 1998, at MariaCare Center in Red Bud.
She was born Sept. 20, 1912, at Prairie du Rocher, Ill., daughter of August and Loentine Boyer Steibel.
She married Joseph Wiegard on Nov. 24, 1932, at Prairie du Rocher. He died Feb. 19, 1993.
She was a member of St. John Catholic Church in Red Bud and its Altar Sodality and the Senior Citizens of Red Bud and Evansville. She was a homemaker and an avid quilter and card player.
She is survived by two sons, Dick Wiegard of Red Bud and Raymond Wiegard of Evansville; a daughter, Shirley Phegley of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Emma DeBourge of Prairie du Rocher and Theresa Eggemeyer of Albuquerque, N.M.; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. today, with a 7 o'clock prayer service, and Monday from 8 to 9:45 a.m. at Welge-Pechacek Funeral Home in Red Bud. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. John Catholic Church in Red Bud, with the Rev. Tom Stout officiating. Burial will be in St. John Catholic Cemetery in Prairie du Rocher.
