Norman Glastetter, 84, formerly of New Hamburg, Missouri, and most recently of Cape Girardeau, passed away Saturday, July 17, 2021, at his home.

He was born April 9, 1937, in New Hamburg, son of Theon Wendolin and Slyvia Marie Welter Glastetter.

Norman proudly served in the National Guard and worked for many years as a manufacturer representative for United Shoe Machinery Co. from which he retired.

He thoroughly enjoyed hosting family and friends for special gatherings.

Loving survivors include a very special friend, Carol Brown of Cape Girardeau; daughter, Chrissi Glastetter of St. Louis; son, Don Riley of Wood River, Illinois; brother, Ray (Kay) Glastetter of Chaffee, Missouri; two sisters, Carol (Ken) Jones and Wanda (Bob) Brosey, both of Cape Girardeau; and several nieces and nephews.

Norman was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Nancy Glastetter; three brothers, Clarence (Shirley), Sylvester and Richard (Karin) Glastetter; and sister, Corene Ann Glastetter.

Memorial visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until service time Monday at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

Memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Rick Jones officiating.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to donor's charity of choice.
