Olivia Amschler
PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Olivia T. Amschler, 97, of Perryville died Thursday, Jan. 22, 2009, at Perry County Nursing Home in Perryville.
She was born Nov. 23, 1911, at Old Appleton, Mo., daughter of Leo M. and Anna W. Ponder Buchheit. She and Gilbert "Gib" Amschler were married May 23, 1933, at Apple Creek, Mo. He died Aug. 27, 2005.
Amschler was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Apple Creek. She was also a member of the Married Ladies Sodality of St. Joseph Parish.
Survivors include two sons, Robert Amschler of Cape Girardeau and Donald Amschler of Foristell, Mo.; two daughters, Mary Jane Buchheit of Old Appleton and Jo Ann White of Watseka, Ill.; four brothers, Herbert and Erwin Buchheit of Perryville, Linus Buchheit of Washington, Ind., and Martin Buchheit of St. Louis; two sisters, Elfrieda Sutterer of Perryville and Theresa Wibbenmeyer of Old Appleton; 21 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 6:30 a.m. to noon Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Parish prayers will be Sunday evening.
Funeral Mass will be at noon Monday at the church. The Rev. Tony Dattilo will officiate, with burial in St. Michael's Cemetery in Apple Creek.
Miller Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
