EAST PRAIRIE -- Funeral service for Panolia Hale of East Prairie will be held at 1 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie. Richard Farquhar will officiate, with burial in Dogwood Cemetery.

Hale, 83, died Thursday, March 6, 1997, at East Prairie Nursing Center.

She was born Oct. 17, 1913, in East Prairie, daughter of John Tyler and Eula Blanch Steerman Lynch. She and Johnnie C. Hale were married Juy 21, 1935. He died Nov. 21, 1982.

Survivors include two stepsons, Earl Hale of Vallejo, Calif., Johnnie Hale Jr. of Wappapello; a sister, Peggy Brown of Madison, Ill.; and several grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers.
