CHAFFEE -- Patrick Aloysius Powderly, 40, of Chaffee died Friday, July 7, 1995, at his home.

He was born Aug. 26, 1954, in Red Bud, Ill., the son of Aloysius James and Pearl Louise Staufenbiel Powderly of Cape Girardeau. He married Deborah Eichhorn on May 9, 1981.

Powderly was general manager and treasurer of the Southeast Missouri Box Co. in Cape Girardeau. He was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Chaffee and the St. Ambrose Men's Club.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Shawn and Nicholas Powderly of the home; his maternal grandmother, Hilda Staufenbiel Korte of New Athens, Ill.; three brothers, Stephen Powderly of St. Charles and Timothy and Gregory Powderly of Cape Girardeau; and three sisters, Mary Beth Stoltman of Lawrenceburg, Ind., Jennifer Sue Weiss of Armonk, N.Y., and Colleen Arnzen of DeKalb, Ill.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. Sunday at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee, where parish prayers will be said at 7 p.m.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, with the Rev. Allan Saunders officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
