JACKSON -- Paul Alan Bogues, 42, of Jackson died Friday, July 31, 1998, at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Dec. 3, 1955, at Shreveport, La., son of William and Connie Evans Bogues. He married Terri Gaulding Aug. 8, 1981. She survives.

In 1996 he moved to Jackson, and for the past two years he has worked for Lynch's Fire Protection in Cape Girardeau. Prior to 1996 he lived in Shreveport, where he worked for 18 years at the former Safety First Fire Safety Co. He was raised in the Catholic faith.

He was a member of the Sons of the Confederate Veterans and performed in the L.A. Magnum Band.

Survivors include his mother, of Shreveport; three daughters, Stephanie Bogues of Jackson and Michelle Cromeans and April Watson, both of Emerson, Ark.; a son, Paul Bogues Jr. of Emerson; maternal grandmother, Mildred Evans of Shreveport; paternal grandmother, Willie Asley of Shreveport; four brothers, William "Bill" Bogues Jr., Jack Bogues, James "Jim" Bogues and Steve Bogues, all of Shreveport; a sister, Brenda Spencer of New Orleans, La.; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson. Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jackson, with Monsignor Edward Eftink officiating. Burial will follow in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
