Paul Francis Sciortino, 73, of the Veterans Home, died Wednesday, July 14, 1993, at St. Francis Medical Center. He was born July 8, 1920, in Cape Girardeau, son of John and Josephine LaMantia Sciortino. Paul Francis Sciortino, 73, of the Veterans Home, died Wednesday, July 14, 1993, at St. Francis Medical Center.

He was born July 8, 1920, in Cape Girardeau, son of John and Josephine LaMantia Sciortino.

Sciortino was a graduate of St. Mary's High School, 1950 graduate of Catholic University in Washington, D.C., and received a master's degree in city planning from Yale University in 1957.

He had worked in city and park planning with Chicago Park District, and in city planning in Baltimore, Md.

Sciortino was an intelligence specialist with the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II.

Survivors include a sister, Angela Brice of Deal Nursing Home in Jackson.

He was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.

Funeral mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Cathedral. Msgr. Richard Rolwing will officiate, with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel from 9-10:15 a.m. Saturday.
