STURDIVANT -- Paul M. Hamlin, 83, of Sturdivant died Sunday, Aug. 18, 1996, at his home.

He was born Jan. 21, 1913, in Piggott, Ark., the son of Thomas and Lillie Warbritton Hamlin. He married Mary Moore on Nov. 1, 1933, in Kennett.

Hamlin was a retired hospital maintenance worker.

Survivors include his wife; six sons, Jim Hamlin of Wappapello, Jerry Hamlin of Advance, Bill Hamlin of Moro, Ill., Mike Hamlin of St. Charles, Tom Hamlin of Fredericktown and Terry Hamlin of Houston; three daughters, Alene Fish of Alton, Ill., Brenda Pickett of Marble Hill and Pam Brenker of St. Charles; 27 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two daughters, a brother and sister.

Friends may call from 4:30-8 p.m. Tuesday at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Ray Placher officiating. Burial will follow in Morgan Memorial Park in Advance.
