Paul Randol Williams, 70, of Cape Girardeau and Sun City West, Ariz., died Sunday, March 5, 1995, at Del Webb Memorial Hospital in Sun City West, following a brief illness. Paul Randol Williams, 70, of Cape Girardeau and Sun City West, Ariz., died Sunday, March 5, 1995, at Del Webb Memorial Hospital in Sun City West, following a brief illness.

He was born Jan. 13, 1925, in Cape Girardeau, son of Dr. Paul Raymond and Gladys Roberts Williams. He and Adele "Gene" Thompson were married April 14, 1953, in DeSoto.

Williams was a graduate of Central High School and Miami University of Oxford, Ohio.

He joined First Federal Savings and Loan Association in 1950 as vice president. He was promoted to executive vice president in 1965, and succeeded the late Lindsay Simmons as president in 1981. He retired April 1, 1984.

Prior to First Federal, he worked at Goodyear Rubber Co. in Akron, Ohio.

Williams served on Southeast Missouri Hospital Board of Directors, was a member of Cape Girardeau and Sun City Rotary Clubs, and was vice president of Sun Cities Saddle Club. He was a member of Christ Episcopal Church and had served on the vestry and other committees. He served with the U.S. Navy in Guam during World War II.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Tracy Valentine and Kim Kittle of Dallas, Texas; a sister, Tori Landgraf of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Roberts T. Williams of Cape Girardeau, and four grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
