SIKESTON, Mo. -- Paul Edward Wise, 83, passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2011, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau. Paul had been a resident of the Missouri Vet- erans Home in Cape Girardeau the past year.
He was born May 27, 1927, in Commerce, Mo., to the late Pete and Elsie Sanders Wise. He lived most of his life in Sikeston.
Paul retired from Associated Electric at the New Madrid, Mo., Power Plant in 1989. He attended Tanner Street Church of God in Sikeston.
He served as a private first class in the U.S. Army during World War II.
On July 3, 1952, at Bertrand, Mo., he married Patricia Parr. She survives of the home.
He is also survived by three children, Pam Johnson (Terry), Sam Wise, Melissa Wise Dirnberger (Simon); two grandchildren, David Johnson and Samantha Wise Heaton (Kenneth); a great-grandson, Gavin Heaton; and a sister, Pauline Jacobs of Cape Girardeau.
The family would like to invite you to a celebration of Paul's life from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Blanchard Funeral Chapel.
Private interment with full military honors will be held Monday at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis.
