Paula Rae Myers, 72, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, Nov. 27, 2015 at Saint Francis Medical Center.

She was born Nov. 3, 1943, in Cape Girardeau to Paul H. and Melba M. Moore Job. She and Frank Myers were married Friday, Sept. 3, 1993, at Cape Girardeau.

Paula was a 1961 graduate of Notre Dame High School, and took numerous banking courses.

She had worked for Alliance Bank since its inception, where she served as vice president of Consumer Lending. She had previously been at Bank of America. She was a member of the Cape Girardeau Area Chamber of Commerce. She was dedicated to the work and the mission of the chamber in her role as ambassador. She was recognized as Ambassador of the Year more than five times.

Paula loved bingo. She also loved her dogs; she and Frank were established breeders and owned and operated Creekwood Golden Retrievers Kennels.

She was of the Catholic faith.

Survivors include her husband, Frank Myers of Cape Girardeau; sons, Jonathan W. (Julie) Gurley of Cape Girardeau and Jeffrey A. Gurley of Osage Beach, Missouri; stepdaughter, Tracey (Javier) Garza of Quincy, Illinois; brother, Stephen A. (Mari) Job of Oskaloosa, Iowa; sister, Lisa A. (Mike) Rouse of Jackson; granddaughters, Chelsea and Alexis Gurley of Cape Girardeau; stepgrandsons, Jett Garza of Quincy and Adam and Aaron Wendel of Cape Girardeau; niece, Tina (Gary) Meyr of Jackson; nephews, Cody (Rachel) and Clay Rouse of Jackson; and three great-nieces and one great-nephew.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Larry Job.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Allan Saunders officiating. Burial will be at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
