Pauline Griffy, 71, of Jackson died July 24, 2008, at her residence.

She was born Aug. 3, 1936, near Bloomfield, Mo., daughter of Curtis and Eva Martin Eskew. She and Dale R. Griffy were married Aug. 31, 1956, in Dexter, Mo. He preceded her in death Dec. 18, 2002.

Griffy was a member of First General Baptist Church in Jackson, a former high school librarian in the Sunrise School District in DeSoto, Mo., and the Richland School District in Essex, Mo., and a former resident of Dexter.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Paula and Greg Davis of Imperial, Mo., and Karen and Rocky Davis of Jackson; three grandchildren, Katie, Zachary and Cody Davis; a brother, Larry "Butch" Eskew of Jackson; and three sisters, Delois Gales of Dexter, Reta DePriest of Kennett, Mo., and JoAnn Pettibone of Overland, Mo.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter. Funeral will be at 1 p.m. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Bob Lewis and the Rev. Luther Rhodes will officiate, with burial in the Chalk Bluff Cemetery.
