Pauline C. Webster, 93, formerly of Sikeston and a resident of Nevada, Iowa, died Tuesday, Sept. 29, 1998, at the McFarland Clinic in Nevada. She was 93.

She was born Aug. 15, 1905, in Bardwell, Ky., daughter of Edwin O. and Mahalia Ann Yates Chenault.

She moved to Sikeston in 1938 from Cairo, Ill., and moved to Iowa in 1995.

She married W.S. "Cy" Webster on Aug. 29, 1923, in Cairo. He preceded her in death on April 30, 1961.

She also was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.

She was a homemaker and had worked as a babysitter.

For many years she was an active member of First United Methodist Church in Sikeston, teaching Sunday school and belonging to the Women's Circle.

She also was a member of the Sikeston Chapter #137 of the Order of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by a son, Edwin A. Webster of Colo, Iowa; three grandsons, Mark Webster of Cleveland, Ohio, Tom Webster of Tallahassee, Fla., and Brad Webster of Colo, Iowa; and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston. Eastern Star rites will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the chapel.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the Dempster Memorial Chapel at First United Methodist Church in Sikeston with the Rev. Dr. Jim Davis officiating.

Burial will be at the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
