CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Phyllis Elizabeth O'Donnell Bollinger, 97, formerly of Chaffee, passed away Saturday, Dec. 17, 2016, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

She was born June 24, 1919, in Cairo, Illinois, the daughter of William C. and Myrtle O'Donnell.

She was a graduate of St. Mary's High School in Cape Girardeau.

She was married to Joseph Jacob Bollinger for 65 years prior to his death Jan. 1, 2006.

She had been a sales associate with J.C. Penney in Cape Girardeau, deputy circuit clerk for Scott County, and retired as a field representative of the State Courts Administrator office in Jefferson City, Missouri. She was instrumental in implementing the first computer records system with county circuit clerks throughout the state.

She is survived by two daughters, Mary Clementine (Donald) Tripp of Cape Girardeau and Brenda Rose (Bob) Blevins of Cleveland, Tennessee; one son, Daniel Joseph (Lynn) Bollinger Sr. of Camilla, Georgia; four grandchildren, Melinda Blevins (Joe) Kirk of Knoxville, Tennessee, Jason (Michelle) Blevins of Holly Springs, Georgia, Elizabeth Lee Bollinger of Locust Grove, Georgia, and Daniel Joseph (Sunny) Bollinger II of Tucker, Georgia; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joseph; son-in-law, Bob Blevins; and brothers, William C. and Daniel O'Donnell.

Visitation will be from 9:30 am until the time of service Tuesday at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Chaffee, with a rosary following immediately.

Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with Father Randy Tochtrop, Father Allen Saunders and Monsignor Richard Rolwing officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations to St. Ambrose Church and School in Chaffee.
