RAGON HARRIS

ORAN -- Ragon Pearson Harris, 85, of Oran, died Sunday, Sept. 22, 1996, at Sells Rest Home in Matthews.

He was born March 25, 1911, in Clarksville, Ark., son of Robert and Effie Mae Pearson Harris. He and Christeen Ryan were married May 22, 1938. She died Feb. 25, 1994.

Harris retired as a foreman with Scott County Highway Department at Benton. He was a member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, Kenneth Harris of Oran; a brother, Don Harris of Morehouse; two sisters, Earla Harris of Matthews, Addie Cowger of Sikeston; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter and brother.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran after 5 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Dennis Cebulak officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens near Morley.
