Rebecca Esther Mazzanti Buchheit, 30, of Jackson passed away Thursday, Feb. 27, 2014, at her home.

She was born Oct. 13, 1983, in Greenville, Miss., daughter of Robert Anthony and Kathi Rayder Mazzanti. She and Matthew Lee Buchheit were married July 16, 2007.

Rebecca was a 2002 graduate of Jackson High School and had pursued an English degree at Southeast Missouri State University. She enjoyed journaling and was an avid reader and writer. She was a nanny. She loved her children and appreciated being part of a large extended family. She had a contagious laugh and her unique wit surprised as well as inspired a different way of thinking.

Loving survivors include her husband, Matt; two children, Elise Marie Buchheit and Tormey Michael McManaman; her parents of Jackson; a brother, Michael and Kirsten Schulte Mazzanti of St. Louis; mother- and father-in-law, Gary and Joyce Buchheit of Perryville, Mo.; paternal grandparents, Bobby Mazzanti of Monticello, Ark., and Susan Mazzanti of McGehee, Ark.; paternal aunts and uncles, Ann and Curtis Donaldson of Monticello, John Mazzanti of Memphis, Tenn., Chris and Kay Mazzanti of Fayetteville, Ark.; maternal aunts and uncles, Ardith Hubbard of Searcy, Ark., Jo Ann and John Okerson of Lakeland, Tenn., Nancy and Pete Smith of Glen Allan, Miss., Michael and Kim Rayder of Germantown, Tenn., and Tom Lee Rayder of Lake Village, Ark.; and special family, Dando, Heather, Jeremy, Jerry, Star, Stephanie and L.J. of Little Rock, Ark.

Also surviving are loving cousins, Lauren, Harrison, Aly, Naomi, Will, Anna, Bryce, Emily, Lily, Angela, Jeremy, Sam, Katy, Chad, Toni, Jennifer, Reno and Jonathan; Tormey's family, Evan, Ken, Carol, Kinsey, Kieren and Chris McManaman; and many special nieces, nephews, family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Richard and Ruby Rayder; a nephew, Henry Charles Mazzanti; a cousin, Kenneth Hubbard; and her special family, Daddy Mike, Joyce and Gerald, and Tony Henson.

A memorial service will be at noon Saturday at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Perryville, with the Rev. Don Estes officiating.

Food and fellowship will follow so we can laugh, talk and mourn for our dear Becca.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to Melaina's Magical Playland or Community Counseling Center in Cape Girardeau.
