CHARLESTON, Mo. -- The Rev. Charles Thomas Freeland, 83, of Charleston died Thursday, Sept. 7, 2000, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born May 28, 1917, in Paris, Tenn., son of Mr. and Mrs. Ira Freeland. He and Pauline Null were married Nov. 14, 1936.
Freeland lived in Mississippi County most of his life. He was a member and former pastor of the Church of God of Prophecy at Bertrand, Mo. He was also a retired farmer and landowner.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Charles Freeland of Charleston, Danny Freeland of Bertrand; a daughter, Beverly Lewellen of Baltic, Ohio; three grandchildren; and two great-grandsons.
He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
Friends may call at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston from 5-8 p.m. Sunday and Monday at Church of God of Prophecy after 11 a.m.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the church, with the Revs. Jim Eskew and John Pace officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
