SEDGEWICKVILLE -- Reva Ethel Bangert, 81, of Sedgewickville died Thursday, March 20, 1997, at her home.
She was born July 6, 1915, at Lixville, daughter of Samuel and Effie Ellen Statler. She and Edgar Bangert were married June 4, 1936. He died Nov. 1, 1981.
Bangert was a member of Whitewater Presbyterian Church near Sedgewickville, and was a former deacon and Sunday School teacher.
She was a member and past president of Willing Helpers Extension Club, state and national homemakers extension councils, was a community leader more than 30 years with Cheerful Workers 4-H Club, and was a judge for 4-H food exhibits at SEMO District Fair many years.
Survivors include two daughters, Marie Tuschhoff of Sedgewickville, Linda Meloy of Centerville; a brother, Dewey Statler of Lixville; and two grandsons.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home in Jackson from 4-8 p.m. today, and Sunday from 1 p.m. to service time at Whitewater Presbyterian Church.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the church, with the Rev. Jesse Perry officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
