DONGOLA, Ill. -- Richard Arlan Vernon Wilson Sr., 43, of Dongola died Saturday, Sept. 19, 1998, at Union County Hospital in Anna.

He was born Dec. 5, 1954, at Anna, son of Paul Vernon and Florence Stevenson Wilson. He and Estelita Lmoste Zoilo were married Dec. 23, 1975.

Wilson was retired from the U.S. Navy.

He was a member of Carroll P. Foster VFW Post 3455. He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife; his father and stepmother, Richard and Georgia Wilson of Olive Branch; a son, Richard Wilson Jr. of Dongola; a daughter, Ann Marie Wilson of Osage Beach, Mo.; a sister, Norma Spurlock of Dongola; a stepbrother, Steve Miller of Jonesboro; and a stepsister, Brenda Martin of Tamms.

Friends may call at the Crain Funeral Home in Dongola after 5 p.m. today, with rosary at 7.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The Rev. William McGhee will officiate. Burial, with military honors by the U. S. Navy, will be at St. Johns Cemetery.
