PERRYVILLE -- Rita M. Wibbenmeyer, 76, died Wednesday, March 19, 1997, at her home in Perryville.

She was born on March 25, 1920, in St. Louis to Lillian Glaub Hagan. She married Sylvester August "Pickle" Wibbenmeyer, and he preceded her in death on Sept. 8, 1965.

She was a homemaker and a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.

Survivors include two sons, Stephen and John Joseph Wibbenmeyer of Perryville; four daughters, Mary Jane Combs of St. Louis, Lillian M. Martin of Dexter, Patricia Weibrecht of Belleville, Ill., and Brenda Smith of Catron, Mo.; three brothers, Joe Hagan of Perryville, Vince Henry of Newark, Ohio, and Jim Hagan of Littleton, Colo.; one sister, June Bodenschatz of Perryville, 23 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. One son, one daughter, four brothers and three grandchildren preceded her in death.

Friends may call at Young & Sons Chapel on Friday from 4 to 9 p.m., and on Saturday from 6:30 to 9:40 a.m.

There will be a wake service at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral chapel.

A funeral Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville, with the Rev. Gerry Kelly officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Perryville.
