APPLE CREEK -- Robert A. Wibbenmeyer, 77, of Apple Creek, died Friday, Jan. 24, 1992, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Sept. 12, 1914, at Apple Creek, son of Godfried Emil and Mary T. Buchheit Wibbenmeyer. He and Anna J. Rellergert were married May 7, 1955, at Apple Creek.

Wibbenmeyer was retired owner of Wibbenmeyer Mercantile here. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Apple Creek; Knights of Columbus, American Legion and VFW at Perryville.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Robert L. Wibbenmeyer of Apple Creek; a daughter, Joyce Emmendorfer of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Edgar Wibbenmeyer of Dallas, Texas; four sisters, Regina Schnurbusch and Pia Schnurbusch of Perryville, Lidie Dunker and Mode Rellergert of St. Louis, and four grandchildren.

A memorial mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Church. The Rev. John Bolderson will officiate, with Miller Family Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

There is no visitation.
