Robert H. "Bob" Beussink, 76, of Jackson passed away peacefully Monday, May 16, 2005. He was born July 22, 1928, at Leopold, Mo., son of Herman and Mary Holzum Beussink. He and Evelyn Nenninger were married Oct. 25, 1950. She passed away Oct. 3, 1953. He and Irma C. Ziegler were married May 30, 1958. They celebrated 45 years of marriage before her passing Sept. 3, 2003...

Robert H. "Bob" Beussink, 76, of Jackson passed away peacefully Monday, May 16, 2005.

He was born July 22, 1928, at Leopold, Mo., son of Herman and Mary Holzum Beussink. He and Evelyn Nenninger were married Oct. 25, 1950. She passed away Oct. 3, 1953. He and Irma C. Ziegler were married May 30, 1958. They celebrated 45 years of marriage before her passing Sept. 3, 2003.

Bob was a master sergeant in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a cabinet maker, co-owning and operating Beussink Brothers Woodworks with his brother, Albert.

He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Bishop Timon Knights of Columbus Council 6405, Altenthal-Joerns American Legion Post 158 and its honor guard, all in Jackson; and VFW Post 3838 in Cape Girardeau.

Loving survivors include five sons and daughters-in-law, Robert "Bob" and Nan Beussink Jr., Matt and Jama Beussink, Jeff and Michelle Beussink, Chad and Misty Beussink, all of Jackson, Chris and Lisa Beussink of Gordonville; three daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Kim Rigdon, Janice and Mitch Long, all of Jackson, Marsha and Dan Williams of Cape Girardeau; five brothers, Albert, Gilbert, Leonard, Herman and Bernard Beussink, all of the Jackson area; three sisters, Annie Spooler, Betty Jane Arnzen and Bernice Ziegler, all of Jackson.

Also surviving are 14 grandchildren, Evelyn and Jeremy Beussink; Adam and Chelsey Rigdon; Courtney Beussink; James, Andrew and Natalie Williams; Tori and Maci Long; Madison Beussink; Kali and Payton Beussink; and Cayden Beussink.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson. An American Legion service will be held at 7, followed by parish prayers and a Knights of Columbus rosary.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, with Monsignor Edward Eftink officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery with graveside military honors by VFW Post 3838.

Pallbearers will be 4th Degree Knights of Columbus members.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Immaculate Conception Building Fund.
