PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Robert E. "Bob" Pecaut Sr., 87, of Perryville died Saturday, Nov. 21, 2015, at Independence Care Center of Perry County in Perryville. PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Robert E. "Bob" Pecaut Sr., 87, of Perryville died Saturday, Nov. 21, 2015, at Independence Care Center of Perry County in Perryville.

He was born Dec. 3, 1927, in Perry County, son of Sebastian and Myrtle Gibbar Pecaut. He and Alma A. Lawrence were married Oct. 23, 1948. She survives in Perryville.

He had been an auto mechanic for 51 years. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, American Legion Post 133, VFW Post 4282 and Western Catholic Union. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

Other survivors include three sons, Robert (Kathy) Pecaut, Larry (Carolyn) Pecaut, all of Perryville, and Tim (Terri) Pecaut of Ste. Genevieve, Missouri; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, three sisters and one granddaughter.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of service Monday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.

The funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with the Rev. Milton Ryan CM officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery with military graveside honors provided by American Legion Post 133 and Missouri Delta Team.

Memorials are preferred to Masses or Serenity Hospice.
