CHAFFEE -- Robert Hess Land, 89, of Chaffee, died Monday, Aug. 7, 1995, at his home. He was born Jan. 25, 1906, in Illinois, son of Alford A. and Hattie Hester Land. He and Juanita Arvella Schultz were married July 26, 1941. Land was a section worker with Frisco Railway Co. 35 years, retiring in 1967...

CHAFFEE -- Robert Hess Land, 89, of Chaffee, died Monday, Aug. 7, 1995, at his home.

He was born Jan. 25, 1906, in Illinois, son of Alford A. and Hattie Hester Land. He and Juanita Arvella Schultz were married July 26, 1941.

Land was a section worker with Frisco Railway Co. 35 years, retiring in 1967.

Survivors include his wife, and a brother, Albert Land of Delta.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee after 4 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with the Rev. William Marshall officiating. Burial will be in Barks Chapel Cemetery near Crump.
