Funeral for Robert Lee "Bob" Hunze of Fort Worth, Texas, will be held at 1:30 p.m. today at Greenwood Funeral Home in Fort Worth. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.

Hunze, 81, formerly of Cape Girardeau, died Tuesday, April 4, 2000, in a Fort Worth hospital.

He was born Jan. 20, 1919, in Sikeston, son of Albert E. and Hettie Schenck Hunze. He and Mildred Tanner were married Jan. 31, 1948, in Fort Worth. She died Dec. 18, 1996.

Hunze retired as a salesman with Lone Star Industries of Fort Worth.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Survivors include a son, Robert Hunze of Denver, Colo.; two daughters, Patricia McCarthy and Linda Burgett of Fort Worth; a sister, Frances Hodges of Cape Girardeau; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a sister.
