ANNA, Ill. -- Robert H. Nelson, 86, of Anna died Wednesday, Aug. 28, 1996, at City Care Center.

He was born Nov. 23, 1909, in Chicago, son of Ralph E. and Nettie Herter Nelson. He and Ruth O. Yando were married July 6, 1931, in Chicago. She died Sept. 2, 1992.

Nelson was a retired dispatcher for a trucking company. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Karen Coder of Anna; two sons, Don Nelson of Anna, Robert Nelson of Chicago; a sister, Gert Wildeveld of Las Vegas, Nev.; three brothers, Ralph Nelson of Evergreen Park, Don Nelson of Chicago, Lloyde Nelson of San Diego, Calif.; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by seven brothers and six sisters.

Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna after 6 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Church, with the Rev. Tom Miller officiating. Burial will be in Anna Cemetery.
