Robert E. "Bob" Tiehes, 81, of Oak Ridge passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2015, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born July 8, 1933, in Perryville, Missouri, to Wallace and Lillie Mabuce Tiehes. Bob and Shirley Sandler were married Dec. 25, 1953, in Perryville. She preceded him in death in 1997.

Bob was store manager at Orscheln Farm and Home in Cape Girardeau many years and also worked at Buchheit's. He was an avid bass fisherman and deer hunter. He was of the Lutheran belief.

Survivors include a son, Rick (Jayne) Tiehes of Jackson; two daughters, Karen (Jeff) Drury of Oak Ridge and Patti (Rick) Niswonger of Munford, Tennessee; a half brother, Donnie Tiehes of Apple Creek, Missouri; eight grandchildren, Sam (Sara) Tiehes, Andy (Nicole) Tiehes, Emily Tiehes, Josh, Daniel and Jonathon Drury and Ben and Chris Niswonger; and four great-grandchildren, Hunter, Alyssa, Kailey and Amilia Tiehes.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Shirley.

Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

Burial with full military rites will follow immediately at Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery in Perryville.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Wounded Warrior Project or USO.
