MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Rodney Coy Sitze, 56, of Marble Hill died Monday, Nov. 10, 2003, at Brotman Medical Center in Culver City, Calif.
He was born Sept. 30, 1947, in LaCrosse, Wis., son of Coy and Irene Klinski Sitze. He and Jane Bolte were married Sept. 5, 1990.
Sitze was a conductor with Burlington Northern & Santa Fe Railway 33 years. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson.
He served with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Coy Sitze of Jackson; a daughter, Shelly Wood of Cape Girardeau; a stepson, Jack Sanderson of Eureka, Mo.; three stepdaughters, Sherry Farris, Shelley Clark and Nichole Lawrence, all of Jackson; his parents of LaCrosse; a brother, Steve Sitze of LaCrosse; a sister, Patricia Aston of Windsor, Calif.; and 12 stepgrandchildren.
Friends may call at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home in Jackson from 5 to 8 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, with the Rev. David Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Moore's Chapel Cemetery near Marquand, Mo.
