ORAN, Mo. -- Ronald "Ronnie" Walter, 58, of Oran passed away Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2012, in Oran.
He was born July 21, 1954, in Chaffee, Mo., to Philip Aloysius and Doris Jean Klipfel Walter.
Ronnie was a self-employed landscaper and architect.
Survivors include his mother, Doris Walter of Oran; a life friend, Eric Grigery of St. Louis; five daughters, Veronica Griffith of Belleville, Ill., Heather Pobst of St. Louis, Crystal Walter of Cape Girardeau, Amanda Walter of Knoxville, Tenn., Lauren Grigery of Benton, Mo.; two grandchildren, Teagan Griffith and Grace Grigery; four brothers, Randy (June) Walter and Kim (Cheryl) Walter of Oran, Danny (Gail) Walter of Chaffee, Scott (Sandy) Walter of Oran; six sisters, Carla (Bennie) Ray of Oran, Donna (Jim) Dinges of South Bend, Ind., Gail (Randy) Dumey of Chaffee, Karen (John) Pobst of Scott City, Cindy (Neal) Seyer of Oran, and Sandy (Mark) Mahurin of Bloomington, Ind.
He was preceded in death by his father; stepfather, Harold "Bud" Sietman; and a sister, Sharlett Eftink.
Friends may call today from 4 p.m. to service time at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran.
The funeral will be at 6 p.m. today at the chapel, with the Rev. Randy Tochtrop as celebrant.
