MARBLE HILL -- Rosa Ann Landewee, 91, of Leopold, died Friday, March, 27, 1998, at Bond Nursing Care Center in Marble Hill.
She was born Aug. 11, 1906, near Dongola, daughter of Frank and Anna Vangennip Beel. On April 11, 1934, she married William John Landewee.
She was a homemaker and a member of St. John's Catholic Church at Leopold and the Ladies Sodality of the church.
Survivors include four sons, Edward Landewee of Scott City, and Clem, Ted and Glen Landewee, all of Leopold; three daughters, Martha Horrel of Glennon, Dorothy Elfrink of Leopold, and Marie Peters of St. Louis; 34 grandchildren; and 56 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, a brother, two sisters, a grandchild and two great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill, with parish prayers and Knights of Columbus rosary at 7. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. John's Catholic Church, with the Rev. Bill Huggins officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
