SIKESTON -- Rosa Bell Segraves, 102, of Sikeston died Wednesday, April 7, 1999, at her home. She was born March 10, 1897, in Birdell, Ark., daughter of James Willis and Harriet Elizabeth Shaver Hufstedler. She and Burley Segraves were married Dec. 24, 1916, in Biggers, Ark. He died Sept. 21, 1948...

SIKESTON -- Rosa Bell Segraves, 102, of Sikeston died Wednesday, April 7, 1999, at her home.

She was born March 10, 1897, in Birdell, Ark., daughter of James Willis and Harriet Elizabeth Shaver Hufstedler. She and Burley Segraves were married Dec. 24, 1916, in Biggers, Ark. He died Sept. 21, 1948.

Segraves had been a seamstress at Graber's Department Store in Sikeston. She had lived in Sikeston since 1935, and was the oldest living member of Shady Acres Church of Christ.

Survivors include a daughter, Vesta Wetzel of Sikeston; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, five brothers, and four sisters.

Friends may call at Blanchard Funeral Chapel from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the chapel, with Pat Hogan officiating. A committal service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at Hite Cemetery in Biggers.
