ANGOLA, Ind. -- Rose Marie Estes, 79, of Angola died Monday, April 22, 2013, at Cameron Memorial Hospital in Angola after a brief illness. She was born Sept. 3, 1933, in Cape Girardeau to George William and Helen Dorthea Mayhew Hirsch. ANGOLA, Ind. -- Rose Marie Estes, 79, of Angola died Monday, April 22, 2013, at Cameron Memorial Hospital in Angola after a brief illness.

She was born Sept. 3, 1933, in Cape Girardeau to George William and Helen Dorthea Mayhew Hirsch. She graduated from Cape Girardeau Central High School and attended Southeast Missouri State University. Rosie was dearly loved by many and will be greatly missed by those whose lives she touched.

Rosie married Raymond Estes on Aug. 9, 1953. Throughout their married life, they lived in Missouri, Illinois and Indiana. Before moving to Angola in 1995, they were longtime residents of Anderson, Ind.

Throughout Rosie's life, she was an avid golfer and all-around sports enthusiast. She loved time spent with friends and family and had special warmth for children. She was a hospital volunteer and was active in her church choir, Tri Kappa sorority and North Anderson Church of God. She enjoyed gardening and sewing, but, most of all, she enjoyed being her family's biggest fan.

Survivors include her husband; three children, Ryan (Lesa) Estes of Angola, Reid (Kathy) Estes of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Robyn (Craig) Coatney of Fremont, Ind.; a daughter-in-law, Susie Estes of Anderson; her beloved 11 grandchildren, Tyler, Molly, Colin, Cody, Carson, Tucker, Shelby and Turner Estes; Natalie (Ryan) Marshall and Erin and Connor Coatney; and three great-grandchildren, Cameron, Baileigh and McKaylynn Estes.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Kenneth and William Hirsch; and a son, Rodger Estes.

Visitation will be from noon to time of service Sunday at Robert Loose Funeral Home in Anderson.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed to Women in Transition in Angola or Dove Harbor in Anderson.
