GRAND CHAIN, Ill. -- Funeral Mass for Roy Reichert of Grand Chain will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Catherine Catholic Church. The Rev. Bill McGhee will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call at Wilson Funeral Home in Karnak from 6-9 p.m. today.
Reichert, 82, died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2000, at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, Ky.
He was born March 24, 1917, in Grand Chain, son of J.F. and Sue Badgley Reichert. He married Leota Reed.
Reichert was a retired farmer. He had been president of the ASCS Office of Pulaski and Alexander counties, served as president of Farm Bureau and of Century School Board. He was a member of St. Catherine Church.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Ronnie and Roy "Bud" Reichert of Grand Chain, Kenny Reichert of Karnak; two daughters, Shari Pelz of Fountain Hills, Ariz., Sandra Rhodes of Lakeland, Fla.; a brother, Pete Reichert of Grand Chain; a sister, Marietta Hannan of Olmsted; 11 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a brother and a granddaughter.
