SCOTT CITY -- Johnny Ray "Ruff" Kelly, 46, of Scott City died Thursday, Feb. 17, 2000, at John Cochran Veterans Administration Medical Center in St. Louis. He was born Nov. 5, 1953, in Cape Girardeau, son of John F. "Pete" and Norma Louise Brant Kelly. He and Jayne Fowler were married Feb. 10, 1995, in Cape Girardeau...

SCOTT CITY -- Johnny Ray "Ruff" Kelly, 46, of Scott City died Thursday, Feb. 17, 2000, at John Cochran Veterans Administration Medical Center in St. Louis.

He was born Nov. 5, 1953, in Cape Girardeau, son of John F. "Pete" and Norma Louise Brant Kelly. He and Jayne Fowler were married Feb. 10, 1995, in Cape Girardeau.

Kelly was a truck driver. He served in the U.S. Navy.

Survivors include his wife; a stepson, Shaun Kinsey of Cape Girardeau; a stepdaughter, Angela Duncan of Scott City; his father and stepmother, John and Judy Kelly of Cape Girardeau; his mother and stepfather, Norma and Donnie Estes of Scott City; two sisters, JoEllen Avery and Cheryl Talley of Chaffee; and a stepgrandson.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City after 4 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the chapel, with the Rev. Watis Harrell officiating. Burial will be in Lightner Cemetery.
