Russell Wayne "Fingers" Anderson, 66, of Scott City died Friday, June 24, 2016, at Heartland Care and Rehab in Cape Girardeau.

He was born June 24, 1950, in East St. Louis, Illinois, to Carroll Lynn and Wilma Dixie Anderson. At the age of 5 years old he was adopted by Jessie Earl and Mary Ruth Colyer Anderson. He and Edna J. Brockmeyer were married July 3, 1971, at Cape Girardeau.

Russell was a former dispatcher for Kelley Cab Co. for over 20 years.

Survivors include his wife, Edna J. Anderson of Scott City; two sons, Earl Wayne (Felicia) Anderson of Williamsburg, Virginia, and Anthony Lynn (Elizabeth) Anderson of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Jenniffer M. Davis of Hazelwood, Missouri; and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, adopted parents and his sister, Carolyn Anderson.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Robert Smithey Jr. officiating.

Memorial contributions may be given to Diabetes and Heart Association.
