PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Ruth Ann Stern, 53, of Perryville died Friday, March 14, 2003, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born Aug. 31, 1949, in Corning, Ark., the daughter of Charles and Elaine Moots Mansfield. She married Joseph E. Stern on June 5, 1969, and he preceded her in death on March 7, 1997...

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Ruth Ann Stern, 53, of Perryville died Friday, March 14, 2003, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Aug. 31, 1949, in Corning, Ark., the daughter of Charles and Elaine Moots Mansfield. She married Joseph E. Stern on June 5, 1969, and he preceded her in death on March 7, 1997.

Survivors include: her mother of Perryville; a son, Brian Stern of Perryville; two sisters, Mary Lou Weiss of Illinois and Debra Douglas of Perryville.

She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

There will be a graveside service at 10 a.m. today at Mount Hope Cemetery with the Rev. Kevin Fausz officiating. Burial will follow. Young & Sons Funeral Home of Perryville is in charge of arrangements.
