MARBLE HILL -- Ruth Jane Tipton, 73, of Marble Hill, died Thursday, April 7, 1994, at her home. She was born Nov. 25, 1920, at Lutesville, daughter of Jonas A. and Della Thurston Eaker. She and Earl Tipton were married Nov. 14, 1942. He died Aug. 18, 1977...

MARBLE HILL -- Ruth Jane Tipton, 73, of Marble Hill, died Thursday, April 7, 1994, at her home.

She was born Nov. 25, 1920, at Lutesville, daughter of Jonas A. and Della Thurston Eaker. She and Earl Tipton were married Nov. 14, 1942. He died Aug. 18, 1977.

Tipton was a lifelong resident of this area, and member of First United Methodist Church of Marble Hill.

Survivors include a son, Lynn Tipton of Marble Hill; a daughter, Mary Stone of Jackson; a brother, Claude Eaker of Fulton, and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son.

Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill after 5 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Virgil Bunch and Michael Woods officiating. Burial will be in Baker Cemetery.
