RUTH K. HARGAN

BERTRAND -- Funeral service for Mrs. Ruth K. Hargan of Bertrand will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at McMikle Funeral Chapel in Charleston. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. today.

Mrs. Hargan, 80 years old, died Monday, Jan. 28, 1991, at St. Francis Medical Center.

She was born June 6, 1910, at Bertrand, daughter of Arthur N. and Lula Cowell Clayton. She married Herbert R. Hargan in November 1931. He died May 15, 1988.

Mrs. Hargan moved back to Bertrand from Michigan in 1974, and was a member of the United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a son, Charles Hargan of Southfield, Mich.; a daughter, Carol DeFrain of Livonia, Mich.; four sisters, Beatrice Leible and Stella Bryant of Sikeston, Clara Spaulding of Villa Ridge, Ill., Mary Sullivan of Marion, Ill.; six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother.
