Sarah Helen Parshall McKee, 96, better known as "Sally P. McKee," passed away peacefully Sunday, Sept. 5, 2021, in Scottsdale, Arizona, of natural causes.

She was predeceased by her husband of 75 years, retired Gen. Seth J. McKee, USAF; a grandson, Robert B. McKee; and her sister, Ella Parshall Stevens.

She was born Nov. 30, 1924, in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, and moved at an early age to Orlando, Florida. In her high school years, she was Miss Florida Citrus Queen representing Florida's citrus industry across the country. She first met Seth Jefferson McKee in Orlando while he was stationed there with the Army Air Corps and they were married June 7, 1941.

Sally traveled the world as an Air Force spouse and mother to their three sons. Her dedicated service as an Air Force spouse was acknowledged in a Certificate of Appreciation from the chief of staff, United States Air Force.

Sally enjoyed traveling with friends and family, but her passion often revolved around the game of golf. Her golfing skills were apparent to all, having acquired 12 holes-in-one.

Sally and her husband enjoyed retired life in Litchfield Park, Arizona; Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida; Rancho Mirage, California; and, finally, in Phoenix/Scottsdale, Arizona.

She is survived by her three sons, Seth J. (Virginia) McKee Jr. of Kirkwood, Missouri, William B. (Penne) McKee of Scottsdale and Thomas J. (Patricia) McKee of Fairfax Station, Virginia; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. Oct. 13 at Valley Presbyterian Church in Scottsdale.

Burial will be at Arlington National Cemetery at a time to be determined.
