Saundra Johnson

SIKESTON, Mo. -- Saundra Gail Johnson, 57, of Sikeston died Friday, Feb. 11, 2011, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Dec. 2, 1953, in Cape Girardeau, to Vivan Alvin and June Russell Belk. She and Terry Johnson were married Dec. 1, 1973, at Benton, Mo.

Johnson worked at daycares in Scott City and Kelso, Mo. She was a member of Old Bethel Baptist Church in Sikeston and the Red Hat Society.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Justin Johnson of St. Louis; a sister, Patti (Gene) Garrison of Jackson; a granddaughter, Landry Johnson; two stepbrothers, Bob (Sonnie) Michael of Commerce, Mo., and Joe Lee (Julie) Michael of Benton.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Benton, and from 9 a.m. to service time Monday at Old Bethel Baptist Church.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the church. Burial will be in Silent Hill Cemetery in Sikeston.

Pallbearers are Chalk McClain, Todd Gosche, Kevin Jones, Neal Mathews, Billy Davis, Kevin Roslen.

Honorary pallbearers are Donnie Johnson, Ronnie Johnson, Carl McClain, Albert Holmes, Budd Bowles and Alan Wright.
