GOSHEN, Ind. -- Scott Dwayne Varney, 59, passed away Thursday, Oct. 7, 2021, at Goshen Hospital.
Scott served his country in the Army and the Navy.
The simplest of pleasures brought great joy to Scott. He loved country evenings, working in his garage and early mornings with a hot cup of coffee. His quirky sense of humor and an abundance of "dad jokes" were what most people remember about him.
Scott is survived by a brother, Gordon Varney Jr. of Texas; three sisters, Cheryl Woods, Amanda Baker and Kathy Wall, all of Missouri; a daughter, Jessica Ziegler, and four grandchildren of Florida; a stepdaughter, Jennifer Camp, and two stepgrandchildren of Indiana; a stepson, Nathan Camp of Missouri; and a fiancee, Danette Dills of Goshen.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wanda and Gordon Varney.
Join family and friends in a celebration of life from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday at the Varney family home. This is an open house that allows you to arrive and depart according to your schedule.
