Shirley M. Barber, 56, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, Dec. 22, 2007, in Cape Girardeau.

She was born July 27, 1951, at Malden, Mo., daughter of the Rev. Cleo and Allie Mae Martin Clemons. She and Ozeal Barber were married June 12, 1993, at Malden.

Barber was a member of Victory in Christ Christian Ministry.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Aleshia E. Hill Stewart of Anderson, Ind., Kimberly L. Hill of Cape Girardeau; a stepson, Marlin C. Barber of Columbia, Mo.; three grandchildren, Nathan and Marcus Harvey and Elijah Barber.

Also seven sisters, Azell Mildred Davis of Chicago, Ollie Patsy (Charlie) of Detroit, Mary L. Clemons of Memphis, Tenn., Cynthia Diane (Willie) Davis of Chicago, Karen Rena (Wayne) Porter of Malden, Lisa Kay Clemons of Marion, Ind., Lue Venia (Percy) Johnson of Jefferson City, Mo.; three brothers, Odis (Betty) Clemons of Detroit, Sandy (Diane) Clemons of Chicago, and Cleo Clemons II of East St. Louis, Ill.

She was preceded in death by two sons, John L. Hill Jr., Terry Denean Hill; a daughter, Shelia Renee Hill; two sisters, Ellen Clemons and Alberta Williams.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to service time Friday at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Malden.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the church, with the Rev. Charles Brown officiating. Burial will be in Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield.

Landess Funeral Home in Malden is in charge of arrangements.
