Shirley Garrett

CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Shirley Ann Garrett, 65, of Chaffee, formerly of East Prairie, Mo., died Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2007.

She was born April 2, 1942, in East Prairie, the daughter of John Shelby and Martha Ellen Northcutt Turner. She married Sammie E. Garrett on Oct. 28, 1994.

She was retired from Blair Industries in Scott City and was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Chaffee.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, William Morrison of Chaffee and Rickey Morrison of Sikeston, Mo.; two daughters, Cindy Sue Moyers of Patton, Mo., and Martha Morrison of New Madrid, Mo.; two stepsons, Mark Garrett and Richard Garrett, both of Marston, Mo.; two brothers, Willard Turner of East Prairie and Wayne Turner of Chaffee; one sister, Dorothy O'Dell of Oran, Mo.; 17 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by a stepson, four sisters and two brothers.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Shelby Chapel, with Brother Darren Larkins officiating. Burial will be in Dogwood Cemetery.
