PERRYVILLE -- Stanley F. Barks, 68, of Perryville, died Wednesday, Aug. 9, 1995, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Crystal City.

He was born Dec. 2, 1926, in Perryville, son of Floyd and Della Hildebrand Barks. He and Velda Layton were married July 8, 1978.

Barks was a bricklayer. He was a member of St. Vincent's Catholic Church, VFW Post 4282 and Amvets Post 94.

Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Joyce Layton and Debbie Helms of Perryville, Margie Ginn of Trumble, Neb.; eight sons, Alan Barks of New Haven, Randy Barks of Pevely, Larry Callier of Egypt Mills, Terry, Kenny and James Callier of Perryville, Mike Callier of Florissant, Doug Callier of Trumble; a sister, Roxie Schnurbusch of Perryville; 21 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 4-9 p.m. today, and from 6:30-9:45 a.m. Saturday. The parish wake will be at 7 tonight, and VFW wake at 7:30.

Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Vincent's Church, with the Rev. Frank Byrne officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
