CAIRO, Ill. -- Susanna L. Simmons, 90, of Cairo died Sunday, Jan. 6, 2008, at Daystar Care Center in Cairo.
She was born Oct. 9, 1917, in Cairo, daughter of Leonard and Theresa Malinski Simmons. She married Charles Simmons, who preceded her in death.
Simmons had been a bookkeeper and member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Rosie Simmons of Navarre, Fla.; three grandsons, Lee (Carole) Connell of Brentwood, Tenn., Jeff Connell of Cape Girardeau, Jay (Kellie) Connell of Murray, Ky.; four great-granddaughters, Kennedy, Karsyn, Madison and Kendra Connell; other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to service time today at St. Patrick's Church.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. today at the church, with the Rev. John Agbasiera officiating. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Gardens at Villa Ridge, Ill.
Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo is in charge of arrangements.
At the request of the family, expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Daystar Care Center, 2001 Cedar, Cairo, Ill., 62914, in memory of Mrs. Simmons.
